Frequently asked questions

Bundle individual biomarkers and pre-built panels into one draw or kit — one requisition, one draw fee. Cash-pay, HSA/FSA eligible, processed at CLIA-certified and CAP-certified labs.

What is a custom blood panel?

A custom blood panel is a bundle of individual biomarkers — and optionally pre-built panels — that you select yourself, then run from a single blood draw or kit. It lets you test exactly what you care about without paying for an oversized package.

How does building a custom panel work?

Search or browse the catalog, add the biomarkers and panels you want to your cart, and check out. We aggregate everything onto a single requisition and a single blood draw or kit, so you do not pay duplicate draw fees.

Do I need a doctor’s order or referral?

No. Our licensed clinicians reviews your selections and authorizes the order on your behalf at no extra cost.

How is the blood sample collected?

Most users go to a patient service center for a standard venipuncture draw. At-home phlebotomy is available in many cities, and certain markers are available as a finger-prick kit shipped to your door.

How long does it take to get results?

Most standard biomarkers return results in 2–5 business days after the lab receives your sample. Specialty markers and esoteric tests take up to 2 weeks because the assays are more complex.

Will my results be reviewed by a clinician?

Every report includes a written interpretation that flags out-of-range markers and explains what they typically mean. Members can also book a follow-up consult with a clinician to talk through results and next steps.

Are these clinical-grade lab tests?

Yes. Every biomarker is processed at a CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited reference lab — the same labs hospitals and physicians use — so results are clinically validated and shareable with your care team.

How is pricing different from ordering through a doctor?

We bill cash-pay rather than insurance, so pricing is transparent and typically a fraction of insurance billed rates. Tests are HSA and FSA eligible, and you can submit a superbill for potential reimbursement.
