How is the blood sample collected?

Collection is usually done with a simple at-home finger prick. You’ll place a few drops of blood onto the provided collection card and mail it to the lab using the prepaid materials. However, if you prefer, you can have a phlebotomist come to your home and collect a blood sample for you through standard blood draw.

Do I need to fast before collecting my blood sample?

No. Fasting is not required for this test. You can eat and drink normally before collection.

Yes. Antihistamines and other symptom-relieving medications do not interfere with IgE antibody levels in your blood, so you do not need to stop them.
