Tell us about your weight history, BMI, related conditions, prior GLP-1 use, and goals.
The once-weekly GLP-1 injection approved for chronic weight management, and the first proven to cut major cardiovascular events. Prescription, titration, and physician follow-up included.

No clinic visits. A licensed physician reviews your case, picks the right starting dose, and manages each titration step. We handle refills and follow-up.
Tell us about your weight history, BMI, related conditions, prior GLP-1 use, and goals.
A licensed physician confirms eligibility, screens for contraindications (MTC/MEN 2, pancreatitis history, gastroparesis), and writes your starting prescription. Usually within 1 business day.
We verify insurance and file prior authorization. If self-pay makes more sense, we shop pharmacy options.
Start at 0.25mg weekly for 4 weeks. Step up every 4 weeks: 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg, then 2.4mg maintenance. We monitor side effects, manage refills, and time each dose increase.
Two line items: Instalab Membership and the Wegovy medication itself, dispensed by your pharmacy.

Why pay a membership fee? Wegovy needs a physician who manages titration, side effects, and metabolic monitoring across 5 monthly dose steps. Membership covers visits, renewals, prior authorization, and pharmacy coordination. Insurance coverage for weight loss varies dramatically; cash price is high because no generic exists.
Coverage for Wegovy varies dramatically by plan. Some commercial plans cover it when BMI and weight-related condition criteria are met; some plans exclude weight-loss medications entirely. The 2024 FDA-approved CV-reduction indication has expanded coverage in some plans for patients with established cardiovascular disease and overweight or obesity. Medicare currently does not cover GLP-1s for weight loss alone but may cover for the CV-reduction indication in eligible patients. We check your plan and file prior authorization either way.
It needs a physician who manages dose increases, side effects, and metabolic monitoring across the 5-step titration. Here's how our team handles that for you.
A licensed physician reviews your weight history, BMI, related conditions, and goals, then writes your starting prescription at 0.25mg weekly. We verify insurance and file prior authorization in parallel.
Your Wegovy single-dose pen ships from the pharmacy. We walk you through self-injection and check in after your first dose.
Step up monthly: 0.25 → 0.5 → 1 → 1.7 → 2.4mg. We coordinate each refill with the new dose so you never run short.
Your physician tracks weight, side effects, and metabolic labs over time. Most patients reach 15% body weight loss by month 12 to 16. We keep your prescription, prior authorization, and pharmacy on the same page.
Schedule a PCP or obesity-medicine visit. Wait months. Chase prior auth and refills yourself. Manage side effects between appointments.
2-minute questionnaire. Physician review within 1 business day. Insurance and titration handled. Refills and side-effect check-ins built in.
Wegovy is a once-weekly subcutaneous injection from a single-dose pre-filled pen. Same day each week. Stomach, thigh, or upper arm.
Wegovy is semaglutide at higher doses, FDA-approved for chronic weight management in 2021 (STEP-1 trial). In 2024, the FDA expanded the label to include reducing the risk of major cardiovascular events in adults with established cardiovascular disease and overweight or obesity — based on the SELECT trial, which randomized 17,604 patients and showed a 20% reduction in major adverse cardiovascular events over a mean 40 months. It is the first weight-loss medication ever to carry a CV-risk-reduction indication.
STEP-1 (NEJM 2021) established the weight-loss efficacy of semaglutide 2.4mg: 1,961 adults with obesity, mean 14.9% weight loss at 68 weeks versus 2.4% on placebo. SELECT (NEJM 2023) established the CV benefit: 17,604 adults with established CVD and overweight or obesity, 20% reduction in major cardiovascular events over a mean 40 months. Together they make Wegovy the first weight-loss medication with an FDA-approved CV-reduction indication.
Wegovy is a prescription medicine. Important safety information applies. The most common side effects are gastrointestinal. There is a boxed warning for thyroid C-cell tumors, based on rodent studies.
Answer the questionnaire. A physician reviews your case and, if Wegovy is appropriate, prescribes it. We handle titration, refills, and follow-up.
