Booking through Instalab includes what the facility alone does not: the physician order most tests require (no referral or doctor visit needed), scheduling handled for you, and after your visit, an Instalab physician reviews your results, explains them in plain English, and gives you a game plan for what to do next. Your results live in your Instalab account alongside your other tests, so your health picture builds over time instead of sitting in a PDF.

Do I need a doctor's order to book at Extension Health?

No. Every Instalab booking includes the physician order: an Instalab doctor reviews your booking, writes the order, and sends it to the facility for you. Your results are reviewed and delivered to your Instalab account.

Are there any fees on top of the listed price?

Accepted Answer

No. The listed price is your total: the facility's price plus the Instalab concierge fee, which covers the physician order, appointment coordination, and a physician review of your results with a game plan for what to do next. Instalab+ members have the fee waived at checkout. Facility prices can change; Instalab does its best to keep them current, and the exact total is always shown before you pay.

How does scheduling work?

After checkout, Instalab sends your order to the facility and contacts you within 1 business day with appointment options. If none of the offered times work, our concierge team keeps coordinating with the facility until one does.
